Ragged Trouser Productions Ltd was born out of the creative talent that had been the Current Affairs Department at ITV Westcountry. Set up in September 2001, this team pushed the boundaries of what had previously been thought possible for current affairs broadcasting.
By the end of 2006 the current affairs team had produced more than 250 programmes, all of them highly regarded and many of them award winning. Output was of such a high standard that Ofcom frequently singled it out for praise as an example of best practice.
The key people associated with Ragged Trouser have backgrounds in newsroom journalism and considerable production and directing experience. Projects are always planned in meticulous detail with camera crews, sound recordists and picture editors. We can undertake specialist work such as underwater filming, and are able to shoot in a variety of formats from DigiBeta to miniDV.
